Dearest Janie,

The attached graphic is one I did for my Adopted Angel. 
Now I know more about him I feel even sadder than before, 
as it really made him and all the people that died so real to me.
He, like thousands of others, has left behind many loved ones 
whose lives will never be the same again. 
How do people ever
heal from something like that? 

My Adopted Angel, David Retik was from 
Needham, Massachusetts. 
He was a general partner and founding member of 
Alta Communications, a Boston-based investment firm 
specializing in communication industries. 
He graduated from Colgate University 
and received a master's in accounting 
from New York University. 
He had a wife, Susan and two children, 
Ben and Molly. 
Isn't that just so very sad, 
and there are thousands and thousands of stories 
just like this one......
