The Battle Won

I am chasing a void of blackness
A void into which I perceive as evil
But none the less as I look into it's shimmering concealment
I see what I have been chasing my whole life

I see it staring at me from a metal slab
It is covered with a sheet to hide the impurities that I have put on it
I see now that it looks cold, alone and helpless
But I also see in it's eyes the victory that has finally come with death

A long war has raged since birth in my mind
A war in which many battles have been conformed and put into play
I have set the strategies along many years of my torn twisted life
And finally I have won the battle that matters the most, The battle for my death
