Heisen
Distant future unfolding into ages since past
Rolling indifferent over every head
To measure is to change, to know is to lock down possibility
Distantly dreaming, is nothing ever the same, a self- serving history
Planetary designs on a life where no one cares
Remember you’re the hero of your own life
You get to carve your notch marking your height
And scribble the lines of your autobiography
Ages forgotten to cellular memory
And genetics twisted into circular evolution
If nothing gold can stay, can anything permanent be golden
Or is it all base, destined to tarnish till it’s unrecognizable for itself
Is change the only constant in our delusions
And do we wake to a world no more static than our dreams
