Hope
So this is it? The tragic end? I stare into those bright eyes,
that once opened only for me. Now they look upon me coldly, and
see only darkness and the miserable shadow that has cast itself
upon my soul. My face and hands are burning, Longing for your hands
to hold them. My lips cannot find the words to give my endless apologies
for hurting you, if ever i have. My head feels as if it will combust,
for my torured soul is beating and screaming a beat to which my
now so twisted and contorted heart can dance. Somewhere on the road
to serenity Floating abliss above the clouds the winds picked up
and tossed me deep into a sea of desperation, this sea is filled
with broken hearts like me, reduced to creatures ugly, in pain,
and miserable. But in our Eyes amidst the sinking sand burns a flicker
of hope. Dare I hope? Or will my pain engulf the tiny flame and
suffocate it until it is a mere cloud of empty smoke. Only you can
tell me Dare I hope?
I liked this one so much, I had to do my own little thing to it;
"Dare I Hope?”
So this is it,
The tragic end.
I stare into those
bright eyes,
That once opened only for me.
Now they look,
Upon me
coldly,
And see only darkness,
And the miserable shadow,
That has
cast itself upon my soul.
My face and hands are burning,
Longing
for your hands to hold them.
My lips cannot find the words,
To give
my endless apologies,
For hurting you,
If ever I have.
My head feels,
As if it will combust,
For my tortured soul is beating,
And screaming
a beat,
Which my twisted and contorted heart,
Can dance with my
tears.
Somewhere on the road to serenity,
Floating abliss above
the clouds,
The winds picked up,
And tossed me deep into,
A sea
of desperation.
This sea is filled with,
Broken hearts like mine.
Reduced to creatures ugly,
In pain,
And miserable.
In our Eyes amidst
the sinking sand,
Burns a flicker of hope.
Dare I hope,
Or will
my pain engulf,
The tiny flame and suffocate it,
Until it is a mere
cloud,
Of worn dreams.
Only you can tell me,
Dare I hope?
