Eliot Cardinaux was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1984. He
took up classical piano at age 7, but realized after
4 years that it was not for him. He began playing the
alto saxophone at age 13, playing jazz music for the
first time. He began to fool around with the piano
again on his own by age 15 and discovered that he had
a great relationship with the instrument. He played
in several bands in the Dayton and Cincinnati areas
through high school and studied privately with several
different teachers. At age 18 he began studying jazz
piano at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
He is still studying there, playing music everyday with
inspiring musicians and good friends.
