This Worlds Metaphors in Eyes
Skies of blue,
Seas or red,
From all the blood this world has shed,
Eyes of coal,
And hearts of stone,
From all the souls left all alone,
The trees are black,
The grass is dead,
From all the children left unfed,
The rain is gray,
The moon is blue,
Sad about the teen who didn’t make it through,
The river is shallow,
The sea is gone,
From every trick,
From every con,
The flowers wilt,
The bees can’t fly,
Because of every human lie,
The death is slow,
The pain is long,
Like a never-ending song,
The colors bleed,
The sky dims,
From all the people losing limbs,
The wolf howls,
The bobcat cries,
From all the long forgotten ties,
The mother watches,
The child sleeps,
She can only protect him from things that creep,
It is here I try to sleep,
But I can’t help break down and cry,
Cause I feel for this world,
Its gonna die.
