A sailor is one who willingly goes

To the place he must defending from foes

A sailor is one who does his job well

To defend his family and the places they dwell

A sailor is one who I choose to love

Who goes to the sea and the sky above

A sailor is one I must say goodbye to

While he does the job he chose to do

As I watch him leave, I stand on the pier

And yes, for that sailor I have some fear

But on that day in which he returns
