For the Love of Heaven
My love,
Together we form the heavens, you are the moon in my night sky
giving me light to find my way home in all the dark. Yet like the
moon your love light to me is a reflection of the other heavenly
body in the sky. I am that body for you, I am your sun.
I give you my love for all to see, that they to may walk
in its warmth and find their way as well, nothing can hide
my love for you.
While I'm away from you, I look to the sky and see the
sun, feeling its warmth only strengthens my love and desire for
you. As the day come to an end, I catch a glimpse of the moon
as the sun sets, the glimpse is as a fading memory until
the night is born. Your image becomes as clear and real as
the moon in the night sky while I sleep.
The days and nights go by with the sun chasing the moon,
only to get close at dusk and dawn, when dreams and reality
intertwine as one and the same. This endless cycle continues slowly
as the sea holds us apart, til the blessed blissful moment in which
God allows the sun and moon to touch. Eclipse!
The moon holds the sun, taking all the light to herself, allowing
only the warmth to be shared with all. The sun, giving all
his light to ring the moon completely holding her alone with
no others
My moon! I grow weary of these chasing games of the sea,
night and day. Sun and moon. I long for the total eclipse,
I yearn to ring you with my light, I need you to hold me
away from all others.
Soon my love, we will be in eternal eclipse and the
seas will be no more.

John wrote this for me while he was underway, he is my sun and I am his moon.
We wait until the day he retires from the Navy as our eclipse gets closer.
On that day we will become whole, and I will hold his light and his warmth once
again in my arms. Never to part again.
