Todd Tolensky: Man or Myth?

what do we really know about the Toad? what glimpses have we been allowed into his past? nothing and none.

we know the basics. the rest we can only infer.

OY!

oOoOoOoO shiznit!

he's either fourteen or fifteen, and a freshman. my guess is fifteen, for some reason. but then, if Kitty is aging (got her permit), Toddy must be too. so is he a sophomore? a birthday must have gone by. or not. we don't know. for a long time nothing was known about his home life, or even if he had one; until recently he let slip that he had a "Mama". okay. so where is she now?

theories theories.

on the social front, he's a definite misfit, most likely picked on his entire life, especially if Toddy's comic-book counterpart is taken into consideration. but then, Mortimer Toynbee was an orphan. but then again, there are definitely elements of Todd that are also Mortimer. both Toads are close friends with both Blobs. both Toads are/were infatuated with both Scarlet Witches. not to mention the physical likenesses. the smile, the hair, the face, the build.

anyway, the song in the background is 'out of my head' by fastball, which always reminds me of Todd. there are alot of songs that remind me of Todd... maybe i'll start a page for that.

down to business tho'; every page has bios up, and i guess i should too. this page is by way of a bio, tho' it's gonna be more of a psychological speculation page.

okay, is it just me, or does he seem like the type who would swear alot in real life? i don't mean like, a pottymouth, but the occaisional shiznit or b*tch and the more than occaisional damn or hell. so does Avalanche for that matter.

just a thought, lol.

okay, so, it's obvious he feels things deeply (as evidenced by his lovely little moments in Toad/Witch/Wardrobe and The Cauldron, not to mention Strategy X), but to protect his fragile emotions he puts up this 'hahaha i care about nothing hahahaha *insert lame joke*' front. Toad/Witch/Wardrobe was the episode all Toddites were waiting for. It showed his sweet side, his serious side, his valiant side, all the sides we wanted so desperately to beleive were there but for which the WB was throwing us no bones.

one other thing TWW cleared up for us was the inconsistent and unrealistic rivalry between Todd and Kurt, who by personality should get along really well. after this episode, that friendship seems to have a fighting chance. i for one hope to see that happen.
