"Why is a raven like a writing-desk?"

"I told you butter wouldn't suit the works..."

oh humblest of webmistresses, why do you even attempt to capture the inspiration that is Jervis Tetch?

There is, perhaps, something in the fact that we Fangirls are as unhealthily obsessed with Jervis as Jervis himself was (is?) obsessed with his secretary Alice. Two things: one, if you're not a fangirl (or, okay, fanboy-- fanboys are allowed in here too), and you're not obsessed, you dont belong here-- and two, if you don't know who Alice is-- (you've lost Fan Points) you can certainly infer what happened. Jervis/Hatty falls in love with secretary Alice... she's not interested... blah blah blah.

... and that is precisely what bothers me. Why wouldn't you be interested in Jervis (apologies to all straight fanboys or lesbian fangirls who may be reading this-- imagine the question hypothetically)?? Jervis is a sweet, shy little man, damned near genius in his feild, quiet, cultured, clever, and can call up any passage from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, not to mention quote them in (what can be considered) normal conversation (a tendency he shares with yours truly). To top it all off, he's crazy. I Ask You This:

What Else Can You Possibly Want In A Man (aside from The Scarecrow ::wink::)?

Really though.

Anyway... Speaking of the Scarecrow (however parenthetically), He and dear Hatty have collaborated, and seem to share a friendship... this is very evident in B:TAS, they're often pictured playing chess together in Arkham's rec room.

this page to be updated more in the future, hopefully less crappily.
