VIGILANCE

Patriotism in retreat,
town by town down each street.
Freedom's Price hardly known,
callousness, overgrown.

Special Days laid aside..
to show America respect and pride.
Many families still in grief,
missing sons and disbelief.
Just another Holiday
Generation X does say.

Vigilance in need today
So freedom will not flee away.
It is fragile, it can break.
JUST by good men doing nothing.
Unfortunately it takes a National Disaster to promote patriotism..
