HIS NAME WAS STEVE KEIFE BUT WE CALLED HIM SKULL

Knowing he was there helped a great deal.
He was really a big brother and not a big wheel.
He became a Staff Sergeant and a leader of men.
But always one of the guys and there to help out again and again.
If you called in an alert you knew he'd be there.
So you wait for Kilo 74 or 75 and the one with no hair.
But Skull was a legend in that far away forgotten place.
But in spite of the passing of time I can still see his face.
A face that brought kidding and could be kidded as well.
Steve is alive and well and lives in California.
We just located him in December of 2000 after someone reported he passed away in 1990.
What a great Christmas present this year. Welcome home Steve.
