Friend's and Poetry Gallery

After twelve years we finally got to meet. On August 2nd, 2011 Rose, her Daughter Marine Rose, son-in-law Slugboy, grandson Buddy (whom I just adore) and the youngest grandson - Brent came to the Oregon coast for a three day visit. It was heaven to meet my soul sister. Next up, Ducky and I will have to fly to the east coast for a visit to Pennsylvania.

Andy, his lovely wife, Kathleen, and I were lucky enough to meet one sunny afternoon in June 2002.
My mom and I had saved for two years to visit my brother, Darryl, and sister-in-law, Tara, in England. During our one day tour of London we meet up with Andy and Kathleen in a cool coffee shoppe just off Drury Lane in Piccadilly. So aptly name The Poetry Cafe feature shelf lined walls of books, posters and down stairs the infamous site of Andy's first public read. Note in my hands an autographed copy of Andy's poetry and draft of his awesome book, DeadPix. Unfortunately our meeting was far to short, and I look forward to enjoying an afternoon cup of coffee with them soon.

In April 2008 I traveled to San Fransico for my dear friend Sideon's 40th Birthday Bash. I was lucky enough to hookup with several writing friends.

From left to right the gathered are Steve, Cele, Sideon, JulieAnn, and T Wanker

I love meeting other bloggers. This year I've been lucky to start following Found In Idaho, she used to be lost in Utah, but she saw her way back to the light. I just call her Fii for short, which reminds me of my grandmother Fee. So anyway, Fii and her family of B's Papa B, Big Bit and Little Bit, came on summer vacation to the Oregon Coast. Ducky and I met them for discussion and pizza on July First, 2009. It was a delightful evening that culimnated in this photograph. I hope they come back again when we can spend more time.
