A Special Angel

Dedicated to my wife Carol
a special daughter, wife and mother
She gave so much to so many.
Through all her years of suffering
she never complained and always thought of others
When I first met my angel she was a freshman in
highschool, I was a senior
A blind date 1961
Woman was made from the rib of a man
Not from his head to top him
Nor from his feet to be trampled upon
But from his side to be equal
Under his arm to be protected
Near his heart to be loved

While here on earth she shared with us
A love that means so much
Now that shes gone We'll always miss
Her warm and gentle touch
Our life has changed without her here
We feel so all alone
We realize now she was the one
Who made our house a home
With all my love forever
We married she was 21 I was 24
Aug 1968
And the people were the flowers
We have the power to chose
The one always to be ours
I chose one that I liked best
And luckely she chose me too
To be with her to have and hold
As we lived this whole life through
With petals so soft
A fragrence so sweet
I was taken within
Swept off my feet
It was so beautiful there
In the garden of life
This lovely creature
Became my wife
We loved each other
With all our heart
We took our vows
Till death do us part
The time then came
For her to go
God knows how much
I miss her so
With all my love forever
We had the most beautiful life together. She loved me and I loved her.
We lived for each other
She was the sweetest angel on earth
Until the day she died
God called her home to be with him
To stand there by his side
It was so hard to give her up
But God knew what was best
He took her to his house above
Twas time for her to rest

1975 was a wonderful year
Our son was born and we built our dream home
Just beyond the sunset
Is where I know you are
I'd like to visit you there
It doesn't seem so far
I'll be there someday sweetheart
To see you once again
I know it wont be much longer
Just don't know exactly when
Above the clouds in heaven
Among the stars so bright
You wait for me to come there
And visit you some night
One day I will be there
To see your lovely face
Standing there smiling
In that magical place
Just over the horizon
Is where I look for you
It's almost in my reach now

She was diagnosed with rhumatoid arthritis

I have lived my life all over again
since you went away
I've thought of every moment
From that very first day
That day I saw your sweet face
Smiling at me the first time
I've remembered everything we did
Since you became mine
Those were the happiest moments
To happen in my life

I couldnt make it through

We took our last vacation. Cancun mexico, she was getting very weak.We knew it wouldn't be long.Just a few days after returning home she was hospitalized.
