If A Day Should Come That I Should Go

The One who made the river and sea,
Is the same One who made me.
He alone knows the needs of this body I live in,
He alone died for my sin.
The scripture says:
For to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.
My decision:
I will take Him at his word.
He has been my strength since first we met,
He has never failed me yet.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof,
I will simply walk each day in His love.
Then if a day should come that I should go,
You will find me somewhere over the rainbow.
At the end of that trip will be Him,
His love light will never grow dim.
That light is love,
It is Heaven above.
So if that day comes, don't cry for me,
Look up and I will be, part of that light you see.
Returned to My Creator Above,
Held in His arms of love.
And remember this:

Walk on a rainbow trail,
walk on a trail of song and all about you will be beauty.
There is a way out of every dark mist,
Over a rainbow trail.
-- Old Navajo Song --

Note From Author
This poem came about from walking through a valley.
There were concerns about my health.
There are many sources that say this is good for your health.
Many sources that say that is bad for your health.
I finally reached my bottom line within my heart.
No matter what this source says or that source says,
The One who created me knows what is best for my health.
I will just trust Him with it since He has never failed me before.
I will continue to walk in His love and IF my health should fail me,
I will still be ok because He will simply carry me away...
Over The Rainbow
To that Home of Eternal Love
With that in mind...
What have I to fear?
What have I to question?
Each day is still a present from Him,
It is my choice how I live it.
I CHOOSE to live it in faith.
I CHOOSE to believe that He alone can take care of me.
I CHOOSE not to worry or fret about anything.
My life came from Him and IF a day should come that I should go...
Please remember to look for the Rainbow.
For in faith that is where I will be,
From this body set free.
Living with the Lord above,
Wrapped in His arms of love.
