You gave to me a little ring,
Much joy it did bring.
I wear it proudly upon my hand,
This circle called a wedding band.
Memories of our love do linger,
As I admire it upon my finger.
But I do not wear it just for show,
It is a promise to never let this union go.
A circle is an unbroken line,
A symbol of love divine.
This ring is a symbol of that type of love,
Heaven blessed from above.
As I take a closer look,
My Spirit remembers the Good Book:
Man shall
leave father and mother -
cleave to his wife.
This union should last for all their life.
I remember the vows we took.
As once again I look,
At this circle unbroken upon my hand,
This ring called a wedding band.
