Lovers Hand In Hand

Ocean and Sand share a central heart,
Even though they seem far apart.
In and out the tide connects them each day,
Waves roll in and then away.
So it is in the lives of lovers too,
With the things they say and do.
Thoughts of love and in rolls the tide,
A caress upon the sand, love is your guide.
The warmth is there and all is well,
You feel the rush with every swell.
You want the moment to last so long,
But the tide is shifting something is wrong.
Ocean and Sand now seem far apart,
A promise, yet again a broken heart.
Thoughtless acts, the heart is crushed,
The wonderous ocean sound is hushed.
After many a day in the oceans sway,
If you wait things will go your way.
You cannot give up in the midst of a test,
You've got to push on and do your best.
Lovers, like Ocean and Sand, seem far apart,
Yet they are connected by a central heart.
In and out, the tide connects them each day,
Waves roll in and then away.
So ride out the storm, walk arm in arm,
Let waves roll in and make you warm.
Once again, let the ocean touch the sand.
Lovers walking hand in hand.
