Life is hard and never goes according to plan, Some would say, just stand proud; take it like a man. But I'm tossed about and driven with every wind, I'm trying hard to find courage to lift up my downcast chin. Sometimes my listless soul cannot find the strength to endure, If life must be this hard, I do not want to sign up for another tour.
I try to find the hope that dwelled within before, I try to find that "open window", after that fierce slammed door. If after the struggle the victory is sure to come to me, I hope I am not too downcast to lift my eyes to see. Life is hard but always goes better than you fear, So lift up your saddened heart and try to find some cheer.
Maybe tomorrow will be better than today, Maybe tomorrow I will find an easier way. But if tomorrow finds me still at the end of my rope, I will look to God for He will give me hope. He has never forsaken me nor left my side, Even though many times in my life I've cried.
