This is my personal inspiration page.
I hope you find encouragement here.
Life is not always easy but if you look hard enough,
you can find good in all things.
I hope this site helps you to do that and enjoy your life more.
The one thing I know will make your life more enjoyable is to invite Jesus Christ
into your heart and let him live his purpose through you.
It will not make life easier but it will help make your life more meaningful.
I have been a Christian for 23 years now and have learned not to ask
"Why me Lord?" but rather to ask "Why not me, Lord?"
He never promised us a bed of roses but He did promise
he would never leave us or forsake us.
He will be your best friend if you will let him.
That is my wish for your life.
Let Him become your best friend as He is mine.
A HERO LIES IN YOU -
HE WILL GIVE YOU STRENGTH TO CARRY ON -
LET JESUS BE YOUR HERO...
There's a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don't have to be afraid of what you are
There's an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know will melt away
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
It's a long road
When you face the world alone
No-one reaches out a hand for you to hold
You can find love
If you search within yourself
And the emptiness you felt will disappear
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
Lord knows, dreams are hard to follow
But don't let anyone tear them away
Hold on
There will be tomorrow
In time, you'll find the way
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
That a hero lies in you
That a hero lies in you

All About Success
To laugh often and much,
to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children...
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends,
to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition...
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
Ralph Waldo Emerson.

For Having Tried
By Helen Lowrie Marshall
~~~~~~~~~~
I'm such a little person, Lord, though long
I've held my head and shoulders high - stood tall,
Borne burdens never meant for one not strong -
Deep down inside I've had no strength at all.
My soul has flinched at each new load I've borne
And, oh, the many secret times I've cried;
Yet always, somehow, I must carry on,
In tribute to myself, my love, my pride.
I've dared not let the world, and those I love,
Surmise how weak and helpless, these my hands,
And so I've drawn false strength on like a glove,
And with a calm, unfelt, met life's demands.
But knowing, Lord, how small I am inside,
And though you see the pretense and the sham,
Please - give me just one mark for having tried
To be a bigger person than I am.
A Lonesome Place
By Helen Lowrie Marshall
~~~~~~~~~~
There's a lonesome
place against the sky
Where sometimes all alone
We stand and watch the world go by -
A strange world not our own.
For deep, heartbreaking sorrow
We never fully share.
Alone we stand on that bleak hill,
Lost in our deep despair.
But the cry that comes from a burdened heart
Is heard - there is peace if we will,
For God's own son knew the dreadful pain
Of a cross on a lonesome hill.
He understands and he stands by
With comfort in our grief,
To ease the pain and bring new hope
And give the heart relief.
There is a lonesome place and all
Must stand there now and then,
But if we place our hand in his,
He'll help us smile again.

Broken Dreams
Author Unknown
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As children bring their broken toys with tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God because He was my Friend.
But then instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help with ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried, "How can You be so slow" -
"My child," He said, "What could I do? You never did let go."
Prayer Of Trust
By Helen Lowrie Marshall
~~~~~~~~~~
Lord, let me not be guilty of the arrogance to be,
Anxious as to what tomorrow has in store for me,
In vain conceit believing that I, and I alone,
Must find the hidden answers to that vast and dim unknown.
I will, instead be trusting as a child; will put my hand,
With simple, childlike faith in thine, not try to understand,
But trusting in thy loving care I will enter each new day,
In humble gratefullness to thee for showing me the way.

This Day
By Virginia Eaton
~~~~~~~~~~
A newborn day! Oh, may I not
Leave on its shining page one blot
To mar its whiteness; may no tear
Of pity for myself appear
Upon it, or one low desire;
But ever turning love's flame higher
Within my breast, may I speak words
That lift the soul - like bright-winged birds -
And send them into skies of blue;
May all my thoughts be pure and true,
And everything I do today
Be done unselfishly; oh, may
I just forget myself and be
Helpful and kind and try to see
The good that is in everything,
And cause some weary heart to sing;
May I return the page tonight
To God - unspotted, clean and white.
Normal Day
By Mary Jean Irion
~~~~~~~~~~
Normal day, let me be aware
of the treasure you are,
Let me learn from you,
love you, savor you, bless you
before you depart. Let me not
pass you by in quest of some rare
and perfect tomorrow.

GOD ARE YOU THERE?
By Helen Steiner Rice
~~~~~~~~~~
GOD, ARE YOU THERE?
I'm way down HERE!
You're way up THERE!
Are You sure You can hear
My faint, faltering prayer?
For I'm so unsure
Of just how to pray -
To tell you the truth, God,
I don't know what to say...
I just know I am lonely
And vaguely distrubed,
Bewildered and restless,
Confused and perturbed...
And they tell me that prayer
Helps to quiet the mind
And to unburden the heart
For in stillness we find
A newborn assurance
That SOMEONE DOES CARE
And SOMEONE DOES ANSWER
Each small sincere prayer!
