Many Sleepless Nights

By Rhonda Cooley

March 26, 2003

Many sleepless nights he's had,

Tossing, turning, feeling bad,

For the ones he sent to war,

All the nation's pain he bore.

Dear God, keep them safe he prayed,

This war could not be delayed,

Security was threatened by this man,

The one who backed the Taliban.

Protect these soldiers with your Son,

Not my will, but your's be done,

Your son once prayed this simple prayer,

When he, too was pressed down with care.

Yes, many sleepless nights I've had,

Tossing, turning, feeling bad,

Concerned for those in the midst of this war,

Protection for America's loved ones I'm praying for.

Amen

Psalm 55:16-18

As for me, I will call upon God;

and the Lord shall save me.

Evening, and morning, and at noon,

will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle

that was against me: for there were many with me.

Let us stand in prayer with the President.

It has not been an easy choice,

but considering the facts,

it was the ONLY choice!

United We Stand,

Divided We Fall!

Let's not fall down on the job

of supporting our troops!
