Alone
by Didi Menendez

El caballo blanco llora
lagrimas rojas.
Tropiezan contra una flor
del mismo color.
En un cuarto amarillo y azul
la paredes preguntan,
Por que llora el caballo blaco?
Nadie responde.
No hay razon.

~

A white horse cries red tears.
They fall on a flower by the same color.
In a yellow and blue room,
the walls ask,
why does the white horse cry?
For no reason,
responds no one
at all.

Farewell
by Alex Nodopaka

Farewell, gypsy lady!
I saddled you
for fear of your being thrown
onto a stoned path.
For your mare has an audacious eye
and hooves that rummage the earth

and
her rump,
such a beautiful sight!
Firm, round
shiny and black as a river rock
polished by fast currents.
