Hurricane Katrina
by Eric L. Giese
Hurricane Katrina unleashed
her wrath,
upon the lovely city of New
Orleans.
It was the most natural devastation,
the state of Louisiana
had ever seen.
Water looking like used car
motor oil.
Debris strewn as far as the
eye could see.
Yet the people stayed to
sweat and toil.
To restore peace and
harmony.
Just as a phoenix arises
from its ashes,
the city of New Orleans will
thrive once again.
It is not a matter of "if"
my friends,
it is only a matter of when.
