So fragile, so tender, so petite.
A sight so pleasing to the eyes.
Such beauty! An aroma, Oh so sweet.
The bud blossoms into a rose,
Its fragrant bloom is oh so fair.
Its leaves unfurl, A masterpiece,
As a beautiful maiden with golden hair.
The rose matures, its leaves still secure,
Though still strong its beauty wanes,
It still stands, though comes the wind,
It bows its head against the rain.
Then the rose begins to fade,
The leaves are gone, the petals fall.
Then only after a little while,
You hardly knew it was there at all.
