Could I begin to tell you, just what you mean to me?
Could I begin to show you, just how you helped me see,
The beauty of a rose so fair, as it grows upon the vine?
Could I ever make you see, its beauty rare and fine?

Could I ever thank you for giving me new life,
For rescuing my dormant heart, within its pain and strife?
And could I ever tell you, just what your hugs have meant,
To one who was so lonely, it seemed my life was spent?

It seems that all my lame attempts, have to proved to be in vain.
You tend to think my love for you is nothing but insane.
Perhaps you're right, I probably shouldn't care.
Perhaps I should forget my heart, and just bow my head in prayer.

And ask my Father up above, what He would have me do.
And if He would lift this burden, so I wouldn't be so blue.
Could I e'er forget your face, that seems to haunt my dreams?
Could I e'er forget your kiss, soft as silk, or so it seems?

Could I e'er forget your smile, that is oh so fair?
Could I e'er forget, the memories we share?
No I could ne'er forget you, I'll always keep you near.
You may be out of sight , but in my heart, you will be here.
