FORGOTTEN DAY

Sitting all alone inside my room
My falling tears playing a familiar tune
All have left and I must
Return this body to ash and dust
Before I go and cause such pain
I remind you all to think of rain
And how on each drop you shall hear me say
I hope to see you all again someday
Until my last breath is took
Let me have one final look
At this room full of love
And now tis done
No more praise or story
No more weeping in the corner
No more life to hold me down
I thank you all for putting me in the ground
Place one sweet rose upon my chest
And leave me now in unhappiness
For all my life ends this way
A week of hell
And a forgotten day

Spring Showers

Tears make a gentle rain washing the hurt from the eyes
Blue Skies; emblems of good and happy days.
Things to be shared, picnics in the shade or a warm rock on the beach.
Secrets kept, of devious plans and midnight meetings.
A run along a moon-lit beach.
Talking, unheard conversations travel the distance between our eyes, you understand,
that's all that matters to me now.
Walls, where they shouldn't be - I can't reach you.
Gone, no life left for me.
Tears make a gentle rain washing the hurt from the eyes....
But not the heart.
