My Life
Chasing that dream on the side of the road
endless mysteries and flights of fancy
blowing around like yesterday's trash
rhyme and reason not making sense
for a beautiful mind is a terrible waste
Sights and desires, one of life's quirks
look through me like a 5 'o'clock shadow
laughing painfully as if I were still alive
alive with a breath of hope, no chance
for this world has taken charge of me
Endlessly rambling words I cannot hear
words I can't even taste anymore
no longer even wanting to know the meaning
or have the strength to look up their existence
Shot down in flight of such happier times
crumbling inside like a day old cookie
feeling troubled and so far out of reach
I reach for a gentle helping hand
and that hand loses it's grip in mine

Another Night
Another night I must spend alone
dark thoughts overcoming me
empty walls grieving my pain
pictures staring with no faces
while shadows weep
Another night I lie awake in fear
listening to the ticking of the clock
midnight hour approches quietly
while sadness quickly creeps in
settling in my bones
Another night I must dream of you
cold sheets wrap around my neck
taking the last of my dying breath
my vision of you is slowly fading
shivers down my spine
Another night spent without you
holding me in your arms so tight
gently wiping my flowing tears
with the soft caress of your lips
kissing my pain away

Sins Of The Night
Freedom of the mind penetrates scars
that have been sealed away, dead
stagnant, wanting to be re-opened
Sanity loses the war in beauty's battle
dealing in narcism almost every day
weary, tired, and put down to rest
Blackness impales the tepid moonlight
lifting the shrouds of satan's body
closeness, with desire to bleed
Death softly outlines the devil's shadow
forcing reality into heated fantasy
flirting with our sins, we rejoice the night

Life's Lessons
Life can be a cruel harsh game at times
one moment I am singing out to trees
and quicker than the blink of a cats eye
I am left gathering only dead leaves
Hearts can change as quickly as seasons
and most people will quickly agree
true happiness is only found in fairytales
and I am lost on page one of a horror novel
Another test I have so quickly failed
no clue if i had any correct answers
guessed at some and skipped the rest
another valuable lesson learned
Next time around I will come prepared
I just wish I had been this time around
but life throws curves at every corner
and it pays to know the direction of the wind

Another Life Lived
Cleansing my body of hate
looking back on lonlier times
wondering where you were hiding
in this damaged sea of life
Gripping reality tightly
for fear of losing control
for once singing from the heart
instead of my tainted lips
Brought to another level
glancing back on another life
anxious of what lies ahead
and escaping this lonely cell
Testing the waters of fate
hoping not to get burned
from a life I have not yet lived
I close my eyes and choose door #2

Sweet Death
Sweet death come and save me
deep inside I am already dying
the most painful way possible
rescue me or put me to sleep
end all this misery infecting me
Obtaining certain desires is such a chore
but losing them all comes second nature
I am sick and tired of dissapointments
life is fucking me again like a painful rape
just get it over with so you can have your way
Beat me
punish me
torture me
kill me
but quickly
My patience of living is wearing thin
unable to slice through thickened scars
rage trickles through my mind like a drug
needing and wanting more of that fix
an overdose would nicely do the trick

Break
Feeling battered lonely soul
give me strength upon your pain
ravish my aches with tiny thorns
lodging deep into my bones
Hear a distance voice whisper
see your hopeless face moan
touch a pink rose in bloom
feel your warm blood die
taste your freedom
devour my weakness
don't let me suffer under your spell

Insanity's Hell
Closer to darkness I creep
one by one
climbing the stairs of insanity
gripping the railing
and losing my footing
watching shadows on paper walls
pale moonlight guides the way
into insanity's madness
Voices whisper out silently
my mind I cannot see
blackness releasing me
from the angel's moon
while stars laugh in my face
as I slip closer into insanity's hell
and further from reality's heaven

Tonight
When the light escapes the day
what is left to hold?
Only dark thoughts
mysterious with pain
shadows breathing
I hide in dark corners
escaping deaths smile
emerging from life
floating above
sinking below
Powerless and fragile
I die tonight
in darkness
so helpless
and careless
all alone

What Comes Around, Goes Around
I let you into my mind and heart
only to let you tear it apart
I trusted you and your intention
and now your looking for redemption
I cannot believe I trusted you
and now I don't know what to do
my wide eyed innocense is gone
You knew what you were doing all along
You played a game of cat and mouse
working you way into my house
you raped me of my body and soul
I wonder if that was always your goal
I don't deserve this hurt you know
so now it's time to let you go
perhaps one day you will see
the pain that you have forced on me
Until that day, please take care
I hope that you are now aware
my feelings are very valuable
and now I am not so gullible
When your chance comes up again
I am hoping that she will win
and when this girl is found

Desperation Within
Desperation kills the desire to live
walking hand in hand with demons
wanting the truth
told only lies

Frustration pleads internal misery
step by step, destroying the mind

forcing out the nature of the beast

Surrender
I'm tired of life's games
living free is not for me
I want to be caged like a wild animal
sheltered and protected
with the keys tossed
I'm tired of losing battles
I had no idea I was fighting
only surrendering myself
to the bleeding enemy
lonely once again
I'm tired of talking
giving up sweet words
my mouth cannot taste
only swallowing hope
life's desires vanished
I'm tired of dreaming
green pastures fenced off
sadness growing in me
dark nightmares emerge
while sanity is forsaken

Drowning
Old thoughts come back to haunt me
my mind is on vacation
and life has become such a chore
one that I cannot tend to everyday
because I haven't learned the skills
Walking blindly through my life
lights dance but there is no music
hope fades into the setting sun
along with the butterflies in my head
Drowning in the sea of life
my patience wears thin
as I wait for the tide to roll in
and pull me under deep and take me home again

Bleeding Roses
Bleeding roses in my hand
holding the thorns embrace
watching my life run out
as rose petals fall to the floor
wrinkling and melting in pain
Disheveled by this awesome power
of such devastating beauty
crumbling like ashes thrown to sea
bringing my heart to a brief pause
Collecting my petals one by one
I regain some order back to my life
for I am connected to these roses
and these roses bleed forever

Fallen Angel
From a beckoned room in the distance
a cry can be heard of a fallen angel
weeping tears of blood from a swollen heart
and tortured screams of an aching soul
she is so devastatingly beautiful
My sight is filled with whitened walls
candlelit doorways shadow the harp
the angel forgets she is being watched
and drains her life in front of me
In horror I watch this fallen beauty
who just a moment ago was my life
she laughs at me while her body dies
and I die while her body grieves
for my fallen angel has failed me

Words of Abuse
When you tell a child they are worthless
you chip away at their innocence
when you say these words to an adult
you rape them of their soul
Words of abuse sadly ring my ears
trying to escape mental anguish
not this time around it seems
for it follows me like a haunting shadow
My self esteem is forever gone
floating around in someone else's bath
gladly let them bathe in my tears for a while
so maybe today I may find some peace
Someone please tell me there is a ray of light
one that can guide me to a corner of safety
because this path I am lost along
is going to lead me straight to the end

Hell of Love
I believed in you and you lied
now you want me to stay
you broke my heart again
like a fragile china plate
using the broken pieces
to stab my body

trust gone

This can't be my life
I never bought the rights
yet you tell me to stay
give me hell some more
pick at my brain
until it is mush

Confusion
Like broken pieces of a puzzle
scattered across the floor
out of order and upside down
trying to make sense of it all
but the clouds are rolling in fast
Nothing makes sense anymore
my mind has become such a blank
like a faded hole in the ground
covered by the first rain in spring
I am sinking deep today
Sounds go unheard in my head
movement dances like a mime
raw emotion has settled in
like lightening strikes a winter sky
displaying such intense power
Terrified by my own confusion
no longer able to feel the effects
of the depression in my blackened eyes
I disappear into my diseased mind
slowly dying for a cure

Just a Memory
You played a game of cat and mouse
one in which you thought you won
well look inside once again my friend
because the game was only a dream
and I am wide awake from your fear
My world was not open to threats of abuse
but only to shadows in a frightening dream
my terror unto you was my fallen grace
but I have put the pieces of this ugly puzzle
carefully back in place once more
You can rearrange my mind no more
the light has entered leaving me alive
for darkest thrills never excited me much
I lay you down to sleep in my mind
a distance thought only brought about by these words

Ruins
In the ruins of my empty mind
dust settles slowly
while the child in me weeps
longing for the happiness
she once played with
Like an old deserted town
my soul remains empty
wind blows through my ears
but all I can hear is sadness
playing a rusty tune
Dust falling in my eyes
making them tear
with the pain all around me
bringing my spirits low
beneath the grounds surface
Only time will let me know joy
if wounds can heal
and blackness turns to white
against a fading sunset
of this deserted soul

Emptiness
Confused and childlike I walk alone
asking for hidden treasures along the way
innocence tackled, shackled, and worn
I lay on the floor and begin to weep
all that was close is so far out of reach
Looking above for a silent cry
nothing but emptiness staring back
I've lost all hope for a happy ending
and now I just pray for any ending
to devour this emptiness planted in me
Touching the ground I feel so at home
never wanting to stand tall again
just leave me to my fallen grace
for when angels sing and cry to me
I become one with the ground I lay

Misery
Misery spoken at it's very best
bleeds roses in my garden of hate
killing the eyes of beauty
for destiny comes in numbers
Desires fit in the palm of my hand
curled around like paper worms
squirming to be set free
as fate throws it's tail around
Haunted by dreams of a steamy life
tides of memories wash away
cleansing my spirit of twisted lies
in a fountain of forgotten tomorrows

Empty Shell
What is left of this empty shell?
Just a heavenly body?
Floating on clouds in a purple sky
I ask a question...still no response
Echoes of days gone by
wilderness at my fingertips
getting hard to breathe
finding fresh air under a smog lit sky
What happened to me?
I used to be so alive
now I dwell in a sea of tears
pounding rain soothes my eyes
acid seeps through...blinding me
When I was a child
I vowed never to become sad
I lied to myself
and hid from the truth
yes, it still looks for me
and still I run...off again I go
just an empty shell

Open Book
I wonder sometimes why I even try
it seems everything fails me
except for one thing
and that one thing is so far from me
I fear I will never reach it
My mind hasn't failed me yet
it still thinks
but my thoughts scare me
so I close my mind again
for fear of what I know
I am not a book to be read
don't want to be opened
finished and put away
I just want to live free.
Why is that so difficult?

Crimson Rain
Hurt and confused I try to carry on
like crimson rain that falls from heaven
if you stay under too long you get soaked
and if you protect yourself you stay dry
you know you are the rainfall of my life
I don't know where we went wrong
and I probably never will
because the silence is getting louder
and the angels have stopped singing to me
all is so quiet now in my heaven
All I ever wanted was a little happiness
to hold you close to my heart
but now I am filled with such bitterness
that my heart has stopped beating
and the crimson rain flows on

Black Widow
Captured in the moment
between a thunderous storm
and a glorious rainbow
my kindred spirits uplifted
with a vision of freedom
Broken free of the silken web
the black widow has spun for me
planning her clever torment
and entrapping my beauty
with her devious ways
As I surface in a new direction
where precious thoughts are captured
somewhere between that storm and rainbow
and spiders never call out your name
I will remain cautious as I step through

Demons in my Sleep
Drifting in my sleep
my mind is buried deep
reminding me of why
I never want to die
This truely beautiful view
is what I never knew
for when I am awake
the demons overtake
My deepest sleep is near
and now I have no fear
for nothing else exist
when the demons slit my wrist
The daylight breaks my sleep
as I slowly begin to weep
for I don't want to rise
and face this world of lies
My eyes begin to blink
and now I have to think
should I go back to bed

Following the shadow of madness
I trace it's outline
walking along the edges
carefully stepping
not wanting to be trapped
into insanity forever
Dancing alongside
I play with the beast
keeping my distance
so as not to be caught
into the web of darkness
The shadow teases me
and I flirt back
playing a dangerous game
between the fine line
of reality and insanity

the wind from reality
is blowing too strong
to suck me in today

Poison
In lost and broken times
of a once sheltered mind
exotic thoughts danced
and tripped over blinded eyes
leaving me breathless in trance
My quickened pulse plunges deep

where daisies float unwillingly
through unlocked passioned doors
closing off my mind in despair
No longer playing the victim
holding a candle to my eyes
crying a loathing sea of wax
burning and tearing my soft flesh
suffocating the poison of my wick

Destruction
Blackness floats where color once shined
alone again I give up this place
no more struggles or endless paths
only one path leads the way for me
down a destructive highway I roam

tears are just a faded memory
Destruction of the hour only strikes once

wondering inside through my pain

hoping that just one day

because I am just a one man army
doing time in the war of love

Reflections Gone By
Reflections of a sane mind passing
mirror the weak and destroy the strong
no winners in that game
only victorious losers
How is it that the mind goes awry?

Or is it just our own imagination
getting the better of us?
One day passes into another
mixed and confused we stroll
never stopping long enough
to enjoy life's fragrances
or even touch another human being
Stop for a moment and think,
can you smell that flower?

Collision
Darkness flirting at my door
cold eyes dancing with mine
piercing my delicate soul
ravaging my bleeding heart
kissing my ruby lips
Sunlight banging at my window
warm breath seeking mine
tickling my tired bones
teasing my inner thoughts
biting my callous thorns
Darkness and sunlight collide
leaving me breathless in thought
comforting my shameless fears
calming my state of mind
relaxing my burning skin

Honesty
A million times over, we laugh
begin our day of freedom
unlocked by the courage
brushed aside from the rain
We live uncomfortable inside
asking that unimportant lies
be told for the feeble
allowing the strong to breed
Mind over matter inhibits
the true essense of our spirits
declared by our own eyes
we never see the honest truth

Insanity Of The Soul
Under insanity's tongue
we hide
locking away secrets
put away for the rain
when the thunder rolls in
Freedom is just a word
tossed about
floating on ice crystals
in a pool of hells fire
trying to escape unharmed
Captured in the heart of angels
crying softly
untouched in the white rain
dying to retrieve rainbows
to color their pale skin
Harmony shows it true colors
after truth
is exposed from within the soul
solitude not as it seems
when looking through others' eyes

The Girl Within
She cries to heavens angels
for the pain to end
tears surface slowly
sprinkling like rain

behind the bluest of eyes

with a heart of gold

twisting her shame
wishing death
She prays for true love

Blackness impales me tonight
like thorny shivers of pain
running rampant
overtaking me
my mind
Hidden lights of the castle
peering through salty eyes
dimming my beauty

Forbidden shadows haunt me
playing tricks against the wall
death creeps down on me
cooling my breath
my demise

Beneath frozen ice crystals

Madness Descends
Alone in madness I dwell
my mind slowly descending
into a washed shallow grave
buried with evil thoughts
never again to resurface
Constant struggles within
the person I have become
the woman I want to be
clinging tightly to insanity
distant travel abounds
Silently grieving my losses
nightmares become reality
sinking lower than before
my guardian angel fights
to bring my soul back again

Sun Stealer
The sun always sets in a lonely place
hiding away from a world of darkness
casting shadows over my dead body
heart and soul buried knee deep
The water rises only for the pure
so today I shall sink a little lower
as time will dig it's grave again
covering me in the filth I love so well
Angels dance in the bluest of skies
mocking my misery known as home
devils take turn in some holy bliss
stealing my sun away from me again

Inner Child
Horizons set deep in the mind
of the child who speaks
from the devils tongue
in the freezing cold
Inner wisdom dies a slow death
when words of abuse

Innocence abandoned runs cold
when the fear of dying
becomes life’s reality
to the loneliest one
Children play with their demons

Evil replaces lost innocense
as mind games deceive the heart
destroying all perfection
in a life once lived
A victim of circumstances
I breathe, unable to choke
surviving the game of life

Shattered dreams pierce my skin
each crack worse than the last
stabbing already open wounds
in my lifeless body
Evil has already won this war
destroying my holy temple
and erasing all dreams of happiness

I seem to shove more than push
things that are close

Chills deep within the bones
of a methodical mind
twisted senses arise
in a painful life
Weary is the mind that thinks

as madmen dance wild

in a free world

Danger passes in a silent voice
unheard cries devour the night
into oblivion we step
careful not to fall
Winding roads straighten out
in every turn that abounds
