By the time I conceived 5 years after the second miscarriage, we had ridden ourselves of many worldly habits and accepted Jesus Christ as our saviour and protector. When I knelt before our Lord God and prayed with a heavy heart not knowing the outcome if I conceive a third time, Almighty Father promised me thus

“ Do not be afraid – I will save you
I have called you by name – you are mine
When you pass through deep waters I will be with you;
Your troubles will not overwhelm you
When you pass through fire, you will not be burnt
The hard trials that come will not hurt you
For I am the Lord your God
The holy God of Israel, who saves you.”
– Isaiah 43-1:3

Praise be to the Lord. Almighty Father kept His promise to the last word.

Due to the previous history, doctors had to perform a cervical suture in the third month and advised absolute bed rest for 9 months because the chances of premature delivery were quite high. We made prayer as our weapon and held on to HIS promise. From the experience of those who had cervical suture during pregnancy, I learnt that stitch removal is quite painful b’cos they don’t give anaesthesia. However, I left everything unto Lord Jesus Christ and strengthened myself. Believe me, I did not experience an iota of pain during the process. Thanks to my Lord. Unlike the predictions made by the world, God held my baby until he became fully matured and I could carry him for 9 full months and deliver him normally (chances of C-Section were high). As promised, the hard trials during pregnancy did not hurt me (I had sugar and high BP during this time). He was with me when I passed through deep waters (delivery pain lasted not more than an hour).

I thankfully remember all the sisters/brothers who prayed for the safe delivery. God literally carried us in HIS hands and sheltered us under HIS wings during the 9 months.

I thank you Father for the love and care you shower on your children.
