OK - What's the deal here?

Damn.

Trying to create this blog while doing laundry, fixing breakfast, and fighting with my 4 year old who probably has worse ADHD than I do.

I'm freakin' amazed that I've gotten THIS far!!!

I'll cut & paste into an intro blog later on, but right now, here is the deal in a nutshell:

I'm a 39 year old wife, mom & special education teacher. I also have ADHD and take Ritalin.

I'm trying to get a local chapter of CHADD started; this is a HUGE undertaking, especially for someone who can't even keep up with whether I remembered to eat breakfast this morning. But it needs to be done & I'm one of those people who solve problems rather than sit around & bitch. Plus, I have a unique deck of cards I'm bringing to the table.

I hope to post really regularly, and let the whole world know what it's like to be an adult with ADHD.

I have the personal philosophy that AD(H)D is NOT a disability, but actually is a completely acceptable way of life, and that we ADHD'ers even have SOME skills that are actually "gifts" when we learn to work with them.

I look forward to sharing more of my journey as time goes on.
