He Understands

When we are bruised and need healing, or when our life is pierced
and full of pain, He Understands. He understands our hurt,
our pain, our bruised and battered bodies. He understands.
He was persecuted and bought us freedom. He died to gave us life.
He is risen and brings power. He reigns over us and gives us peace.
He Understands. He gives us light and love, for he is good and kind.
He is gentle, powerful and pure. His ways are right. When we stray
and go our own way, He is still there with us. His mind is on us. He is
my Saviour, my Guide and He is my Peace. He brings me comfort and He
is the Joy in my heart. He Understands me, understands my moods,
my frustration, and yet, he never leaves me, because He Understands.
Through all our weaknesses, he forgives, for he is our strength.
When we are lost and stumble and fall, he picks us up and guides us.
If our eyes are not open he will see for us, for He Understands. He
feeds us when we are hungry, and provides warmth when we are cold.
He Understands when we face trials. He Understands when we face problems.
He comforts us when we face loss. When we face death he carries us home.
He is faithful and true, and will never leave us, for He Understands.
