God Has Set Me Free

Do not grieve for me for now I'm free
I'm following the path God has laid for me.
He opened his arms as I heard him call
Then I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay for another day
To love, to laugh or to play
Things left undone must stay that way
For I have found peace at the dawn of day.

If my parting has left a void
Please remember the times filled with joy.
All the things we shared, a laugh, a kiss
Of all these things I too will miss.

Do not burdened your heart with sorrow
For I wish you all the happiness of tomorrow.
My life has been full and loved so much
Grandkids, Children, and loved one's touch.

My time on earth was oh so brief
But don't burdened your heart with undue grief.
Fill up your hearts with love and peace to thee
God called me home, he set me free.
