Angel Tears

Angel Tears

They say Angels don't cry
But I saw tears falling from an angel today
And behind those tears were angel eyes
An angel so afraid of human life.

Angels do cry tears
When they hurt through the years
Of being abused and neglected too
Being beaten black and blue.

Take a child in your arms
Keep them safe from all harm
Give them love and keep them warm
Shelter them from the storm.

Tears from Angels should never be
But I saw the tears from an angel's eyes
And it broke my heart and made me cry
To think this angel could have died.
