" A Dream That Is True "
by
Ashleigh Jane, London, England.

I came here to find romance
With someone I thought I knew
It was not long before I found
I had chosen someone who was not true.

I looked around everywhere
And saw nothing through my tears
Why was it I found that no one cared?
Would I always be alone, that was my fear.

I did not see anyone pass by
When at my feet I saw a rose
I looked up and saw no one there
I leaned down and picked it up then arose.

I had to give it back
But I did not know to who
I had to find from where it came
Then I looked and saw your eyes of Blue.

In your eyes I saw no dance
They seemed almost to have no life
Had you also come here to find romance?
Had you come for love and found the same as I?

I reached out to give you the rose
As you reached your hand touched my hand
I felt my heart swell and rise to my throat
The feeling I felt I could never have imagined.

Then a smile came across your face
And suddenly stars shined from up above
We walked and talked and knew it must be fate
We both found what we wanted, our own true love.

And every day when I awake
And look into your eyes of blue
I'm glad with every breath I take
And thank you for a dream come true.

" Rain bow "
by
Ashleigh Jane, London, England.

I wish upon a rainbow
On every single hue
I hope with my entire heart
that my one wish comes true.

I wish upon its colors
that together shine so bright
and if a single hue is missing
it wouldn't look quite right.

The key to its beauty is harmony
it's the way each color blends
if only the world could be a rainbow
then we could all be friends.

I wish we could learn a lesson
from those beautiful bands in the sky
together we could find world peace
the least we could do is try.

" Dream In My Dream "
by
Ashleigh Jane, London, England.

Up in my tree, I sit and dream as a sunny day goes by. a rope attached, from there I swing, pretending I can fly. many battles, fought. I've won while sitting up so high. climb up my rope, the world feels safe. dont be afraid to try. this old oak tree, as it did me, can help you touch the sky.

I've been into writing ever since I was six, filling up countless exercise books with poems / stories as I multi books grew up. I wrote stories and sent them off to many different girl magazines, week after week.( My mom used to post them for me.) Some stories were praised, others were refused.

STORY COMIN SOON (sometime during 2006 )

"NightOut"
by
Ashleigh Jane, London, England.

I walk into a crowded nighclub feeling all I wanted to do is just dance the night away." then the story begins......

I had a long and frustrating day at work and... had no one to come home to, I didnt want to be alone...I had called up a couple of my friends and decided to hang out and have a couple of drinks...I went home from work and turned on my CD player and put some club music on, so I can charge up for my evening out...I got out my club clothes which was my favourite little black dress, got my hair/make-up done and was ready to go.

I walked in and found my friends, we drank and talked but there was something just flowing through my veins...I looked around and there was so many women out in this club, but nothing appealing...Not that I was looking for anyone...All I wanted to do was get on that dance floor and dance my night away...I was looking at my friends chatting and found myself drawn to the dance floor, the music was bumping, and here I was just listening to everyone yapping away, I finished my drink and headed to the dance floor...I didnt care that I had no one to dance with...I like dancing by myself...it felt so right in dancing, I just closed my eyes and away I went, I felt like I was free, like I was the only one there dancing away my frustration...Still dancing I opened my eyes and looked around, reality hit me, I wasn't alone, I was in a night club full of women and for a second I felt silly, but just for a second...No one was paying attention to me, so I kept on dancing, the music filled my body with such movement...My eyes wondered through out the room while I was dancing, until my eyes met up with hers...My heart started to pound heavy and hard.....My mouth wide open with amazement...I saw her standing there, with others, who I had hoped none were a lover to her..But she smiled and looked away quickly......All of a sudden I got nervous, I kept dancing, but I made sure I saw her every move......She turned a few times to see if I was still dancing, Hey she was checking me out? I hope so, I would have really like to come up to her, but Im a little shy and would'nt know what to say......I closed my eyes once again and I was picturing myself dancing with her, in a slow dance kind of way........Here I found myself smiling.....When I opened my eyes, I went to look at her direction, and saw that she was gone......My heart sank and my smile disappeared, I lowered my head and someone reached and picked up my head and learned close to my ear and whispered never lower your head it doesn't become you......When I saw this woman who had just whispered in my ear, to my surprise it was her.......My face lit up like a christmas tree......She smiled at me, as she kept dancing, My heart was pounding so hard and so fast I grabbed it pushing back into my chest because I thought everyone could see it...I just stood there looking at her dancing with another girl, I wanted to be that other girl, I headed out of the dance floor, until someone grabbed my arm, and told me not to leave....it was the girl she was dancing with......The woman that I was staring at earlier, sent her friend to get me and told me not to leave the dance floor....Here was this Beautiful Woman dancing towards me and mouthing the words to this song.....She danced around me and was like singing to me, all I could do was to look into her eyes and smile said it all....I know she liked the attention she was getting from me, I could see it in her eyes....At that moment the music stopped for that second, and someone got on the microphone and said there was a special request and a slow jam came on......I reached out and looked into her eyes and told her to come with me, she placed her hands on mine and I lead her to the middle of the dance floor and kept one hand on hers and placed the other around her waist and moved slowly around the dance floor....Our eyes never left each other as we danced..........She slowly placed her head near my chin and I could smell her hair. God her hair smelted so good...I knew she could feel my heart beating really fast.......she looked into my eyes and she knew she had me.....She said to me what are you waiting for.......Our music was playing to the same beat as I looked into her eyes and cupped my hands under her chin and lifted her head gently upwards and I slowly lowered my head towards her and our lips slowly met... Our lips moved into a deep passion and our tongues caressed each others and there we were in paradise........ When we opened our eyes we saw that we were the only ones on the dance floor and that the night was over......Our friends were clapping and of course I was embarrassed, but in a good sense....I didn't want the night to end, I just realized I didn't even know her name. I didn't know what was going to happen next..Was she going to leave with her friends? Was she going to leave me her number? Was she going to tell me her name at least....She went towards her friends and I went towards mine, of course questions were popping left to right about her from my friends. I looked towards her and saw that she was getting the same from her friends and our eyes met once again and we both smiled at each other and we went back to our friends......I really couldn't say much, because I really didn't know what had happened, it just happened...I even told them that I didn't even know her name, they all laughed at me.....I was asked what next? I just shrugged my shoulders, by this time it was time to go and the club was almost empty....I looked over and she was gone, she was no where in sight. I thought to myself what no good-bye? No number? No thanks for the dance? No name Nothing..........Well, I went for a trip tonight......I had a chance to brake free from the world of frustration and stress and I entered aworld of fantasy and pleasure.........oh girl, I felt like I was on cloud twenty......My friends saw that she had left and told me that I'd find her next time...I told them I would like that but if not she had given me something that I would never forget.......My friends and I were saying our good-byes and we went our separate ways, when I was walking to my car. I saw someone sitting on top of my hood, but I couldn't really tell who it was. As I was getting closer towards my car I started getting a smile on my face cause it was looking like my fantasy wasn't ending after all.......When I got to the car she jumped off the hood and said what did you think I was going to leave you like that? I just laughed and said when I saw that you were gone, I thought yeah, you were going to just leave like that, She just smile and jumped into my arms.......I asked Hey what's your name anyway? She laughed and said My name is Zoey and I know your name I laughed and said Oh yeah, what is it then? and how did you know where my car was? Zoey just winked and said I just asked around and found out your name is ashleigh jane and asked what kind of car you were driving and someone pointed it out to me and I decided to surprise you and wait for you at your car. So are you surprised? I just held her closer and looked into her eyes and lowered my head and kissed her passionately and asked.
Can you tell now.

This is one of my favourite stories, so I have included it on my site for everyone to read.

"Little Girl & The Angel"

by
"Author Unknown"

There was this little girl sitting by herself in the park. Everyone passed by her and never stopped to see why she looked so sad. Dressed in a worn pink dress, barefoot and dirty, the girl just sat and watched the people go by. She never tried to speak. She never said a word. Many people passed by her, but no one would stop.

The next day I decided to go back to the park in curiosity to see if the little girl would still be there. Yes, she was there, right in the very spot where she was yesterday, and still with the same sad look in her eyes. Today I was to make my own move and walk over to the little girl. For as we all know, a park full of strange people is not a place for young children to play alone.

As I got closer I could see the back of the little girl's dress. It was grotesquely shaped. I figured that was the reason people just passed by and made no effort to speak to her. Deformities are a low blow to our society and, heaven forbid if you make a step toward assisting someone who is different. As I got closer, the little girl lowered her eyes slightly to avoid my intent stare. As I approached her, I could see the shape of her back more clearly. She was grotesquely shaped in a humped-over form. I smiled to let her know it was OK; I was there to help, to talk

. I sat down beside her and opened with a simple, "Hello." The little girl acted shocked, and stammered a "hi"; after a long stare into my eyes. I smiled and she shyly smiled back. We talked until darkness fell and the park was completely empty. I asked the girl why she was so sad. The little girl looked at me with a sad face and said, "Because, I'm different"; I immediately said, "That you are!"; and smiled. The little girl acted even sadder and said, "I know."

"Little girl," I said, "you remind me of an angel, sweet and innocent." She looked at me and smiled, then slowly she got to her feet and said, " Really?" "Yes, you're like a little Guardian Angel sent to watch over all people walking by." She nodded her head yes, and smiled. With that she opened the back of her pink dress and allowed her wings to spread -- then she said "I am. -- I'm your Guardian Angel," with a twinkle in her eye.

I was speechless -- sure I was seeing things. She said, "For once you thought of someone other than yourself. My job here is done." I got to my feet and said, "Wait, why did no one stop to help an angel?" She looked at me, smiled, and said, "You're the only one that could see me," and then she was gone.

And with that, my life was changed dramatically. So, when you think you're all you have -- remember, your angel is always watching over you.

The first snow

have you seen it?
no, really, have you seen it?

little flakes of white
fluttering
floating
flying
freezing

oh, the snow and fireplaces aglow
makes you not want to go anywhere

it's like magic dust
for a little while until it piles up
and we sled
and we slide
and we ski
and we slip
and we build snowmen but until then

it's just the first snow
have you seen it?
have you felt it?
the freezing
frozen
flying
falling
fleeing
flakes
are like little pieces of grace
i love the first snow.
