I considered "ruritanian novel" and also considered "the stars/heroes" from a ruritanian love story.
The general and Princess have liberated her country.
The ruritanian love story was not initially how I had intended to express the feeling.
A vast and empty fullness.
When I finally wrote it down was at table 5 after dinner.
I suppose I decided on the ruritanian bit because the revolutionary general ascribes a feeling of devotion of the author in regards to the other protagonist, and perhaps an idea that he regards her as more precious than himself.
