ROUGH EDGES

Other women have tried to file down
my rough edges, sharp spikes, and calluses.

When my boss goes against what I believe is right,
I roar.

But with you, I just tell him calmly "I won't do that"
and sweep it away.

Because with you, there are no rough edges to file down.
With you, they just melt away and go back inside.
