There are rock and roll ghosts somewhere in my closet between the memory box and the art made by a woman I kissed so passionately that the stars burst. There are chords that sound like thunder and strumming patterns that sway like clouds rolling in the distance on a humid muggy day. Just because it's rock and roll doesn't mean it can't have violins,- it just means it has to use them well. The new songs on the radio can't hold a candle to Bruce Springsteen, and they are certainly no Queen. but there are still ghosts in the closet. |
