I WILL BRING YOU FLOWERS IN THE WINTER
AND ICE CUBES IN THE SPRING.

I will bring you flowers in the winter
                         and ice cubes in the spring.

I will bring you exuberance in old age
                         and wisdom during youth.

I will bring you water when it's sweltering
                         and a blanket when it's chilly.

I will bring you comfort when you're criticized
                         and humility when you're arrogant.

I will bring you smiles when you're sad
                         and tears when you're happy.

I will bring you salt for your dinner
                         and sugar for your strawberries.

I will bring you solace in the din
                         and songbirds in the silence.

I will bring you a towel to dry you off
                         and a bucket to splash you wet.

I will bring you sunshine when it's cloudy
                         and shade when it's sunny.

I will bring you memories when you're young,
                         and help you remember them when you're old.

Started with the first two lines.
Came up with many couplets.
Got rid of a few.
Edited them for meter , diction , alliteration, imagery.
Such as strawberries.
Can probably still be improved.
