"I'M LEAVING YOU."

"I'm leaving you,"
she said.
The woman I woke up next to,
to smile.

The woman I stood
on a mountain with,
in the rain,
on a day when it wasn't supposed to rain,
Our hair, plastered to our foreheads,
our laughs tasting semi-sweet.
I loved her so much.
For 9 years I lay next to her.
Holding her against my chest,
Never wanting another woman for my whole life.
Not caring if there were another woman in the world..

"I'm leaving you."
She said.

Looks like influenced by the style of Pablo Neruda, not sure if it was, but I don't think I had been reading his work at that time period.
