When I
moved to Arlington, Virginia about two years ago, I started
looking for a group of writers to associate myself with (Yes,
I just terminated a clause with a preposition). I never did
find the group I was looking for, and, after a while, I gave
up on the idea.
Then I
had another idea. If I couldn't find a group, I'd start my own.
I posted a few flyers in local coffee shops and, lo and behold,
people actually responded, not a lot, but a few.
We are
off to good start, but we could always use more voices in our
mix. We have been meeting once a month, usually the first or
second Wednesday of the month at 7:00. Our next gathering will
be at XandO Cosi by the Ballston Metro stop in Arlington, Virginia.
We share what we have been working on and offer each other advice
and support.
