Don't Ask Me How I Am

Don't Ask Me How I Am

Don't ask me how I am,
unless you really want to know...

I found my young son dead last night,
believe me this is so...

Don't ask me how I am,
unless you really want to hear...

My soul is filled with chaos,
and my mind is full of fear...

Don't ask me how I am,
unless you really want to see...

Visions of my dying son
continue daunting me...

Don't ask me how I am,
and then just walk away...

My sadness needs to be expressed ~
I'm begging you to stay...

Don't ask me how I am
and pretend that all is well...

Your perfect view of life
reminds me mine's a living hell...

Don't ask me how I am...
you could never comprehend...

I suffer torment by myself
because you are my friend...
