BIOGRAPHY

The story of Joe Hellraiser & the Graverobbin' Bastards begins back in the summer of '03 when Tom, Matt, Joe and Charlie first met and got togther in a highschool placed in Uddevalla (Sweden) with the direction of music. The musical background of these members were quite divided but one thing that they had in common was the Rock n' Roll, all from the 50/60's and the way to these days rock n' roll-music. After all, country and rockabilly became the direction of the music and since all the members showed intrest in sickness and other morbid stuffs it was a fact that the lyrics would be in that way too. Then of course the psychobilly-genre is one of the leading inspiration too. Matt and Joe started to write music and lyrics for the first recordings. At this time the line-up was Joe-Vocals & Rythm guitar, Matt-Leadguitar, Tom-Ebass and Charile-Drums. The demo, which was recorded in October 2003, included 5 tracks (That Hooker, Gravestomp,Choke you with my guts,Scum and Monster Masturbation) and shows different shapes of the band. Country, Rocka/psycho-billy is the mainpieces.

Of course we got respons for those recordnings. Both postive and negative (as we see as a useful thing). A man from Poland, Dominik (Cosmic Records), seemed to like the demo and offered us a track on their compilation (released by Cosmic Records). Really nice compilation with other good acts for example; Green Monster, Bad Reputation, Mad Heads, Kathy X...

As the name was growing bigger and more international we did some changes in the line-up. Tom and Matt switched instrument. So, Tom start playin' the leadguitar while Matt grabbed the doublebass (instead of going on with electric) Then we got our first real gig at a punkfestival called Uddevalla Punk#2 in 2004 (other bands, Unit Lost, Bloody Stinking Bastards, The Jinx and more) and next concert we got was to open up for The Caravans togheter with Green Kryptonite and Tom Wilson & the Astrolites. This evening was arranged by Hi-Speed Rockailly Crew in Uddevalla.

One more time there was a change in the line-up. Charlie Summers became replaced by Joe's younger brother Russ Hellraiser. This year, 2005, we've just finished the recordings for our upcoming full-length album which contains 12 tracks (three of them is taken from the demo). The tracks is under mastringprocess in the studio right now. More info 'bout how/when/where it will be released, you'll find here as soon as possible...
