Loving, Interested Nazarenes, Knowing, and Sharing

Have you contacted your new LINKS families?
Have you heard from them?

Here are some suggestions:

• Plan a special way to introduce them to the local church.
• Keep their names and pictures posted.
• Make a bulletin insert for people to keep - encouraging them to pray.
• Write to them.
• Remember birthdays and Christmas or other holidays.
• Invite them to your church.

EACH ONE READ ONE

The District NMI council is promoting the program "Each One, Read One" to encourage the reading of or listening to the missionary books. Every church attendee is to be urged to read at least one book. This will result in a greater understanding of the Nazarene Global Mission. Stay tuned for more information.

You need to look at the new Caribbean Region web site. It has many interesting links. Click on Compassion and you will find a Needs List.

JESUS FILM REPORT

Ministry teams have reported 40,251,904 evangelistic contacts from January 1998 to August 1, 2006. Of these contacts, 6,904,394 (17.2% of contacts) have indicated decisions for Christ and there have been 2,175,820 (31.5% of decisions) initial discipleship follow-ups. There have been 9,502 new mission churches started and 14,230 new pastors are in training.

• Caravan and K-Mad are joining together for a big district wide day. Details for this exciting event are being planned and will be announced. Be sure all Caravan directors are informed.
• On the latest Missions DVD you will see "Jake's World" (a little person's view of his "missionary" world. Also, you find 3 Alabaster promos to be use in September.
