SERMON REFLECTIONS - July 23
The pastor used Galatians 5:13-26 as a basis for his sermon. Below are some points he emphasized. 1. Galatians 5:22&23 are not stand alone verses. They must be understood in context with the entire scripture portion. 2. Paul says, the fix for the conflict between the sinful nature (selfishness) and the Spirit (selflessness) is to have the sinful nature crucified. (verse 24) 3. Giving up self control and accepting God control is the secret to being filled with the Holy Spirit. Giving up self control is the same as having the sinful nature crucified. 4. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature. We must move beyond just having Christ. He must have us. When Christ Jesus has us means that we belong to Him.Do you belong to Him?

TUESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY
We don't want to keep it a secret! Bible Study at the Scheiner home can be a spiritual refueling moment in your busy week. Some have called it a spiritual "oasis". The studies are geared to challenge the spiritually mature and to nurture those early on their journey. It is O.K. to use the index to find Bible verse locations. It is also O.K. if someone does not have a Bible. Bibles are made available at no cost to anyone who wants one. The Scheiners live at 29 Hamton Court East, Robbinsville, NJ. Call 609-208-2858 for directions. The studies begin around 8:00 p.m. every Tuesday night.
