To know ones history is not only a privilege but more importantly a human right. The understanding of historical events either struggles, success, or failures, of the past and the present could have an effect on those who are soon to inherit the future.Our objective is to delve into the "Success" of African-American in history. We will then show that -the success of one's history is a catalysis- to improving the current state of these three factors which are as follows:

Motivation for African-American youth
As follow up to these issues, we most focus on how we can interweave the successful part of African-Americans within the conventional way American history is being taught in academic institutions.In order to go about this we must not disregard the struggles that African-Americans had to endured to be successful people. Fredrick Douglas once said -If there is no struggle there is no progress-
