CH Wild Wind's Blue Star Orion CD HIT, "Rion"

Rion was our dream dog. He was our first homebred Champion, HIT obedience dog, TREMENDOUS herding dog, in fact all of the "herders" in other breeds always exclaimed "LOOK, he herds as intensely as a Border Collie!" We believe that Rion was the first CH blue marked white rough in the AKC. Rion won the open white dog class at CCA in 1987 with Pam Horack, his buddy who finished him for us, as my work schedule was awful at that time and I couldn't go to shows much. We lost Rion at 12 years of age, we still think of him often with love and see him every day in his wonderful grand and great grandkids he left us with. Rest well good buddy, we miss you.

CH Wild Wind's Back In Black CD CGC OFA, "Buster"

Buster is shown in this photo at 9 years of age taking BOV from the veterans class at the CCC Specialty in Denver, Colorado. Even at 9 he is so sound and active that anyone seeing him would assume he was 3 or 4 years old. He is also Normal Eyed! Buster is the best pal of our 17 year old son, Adam. Adam chose him from a litter at 3 weeks when his first collie pal Ulysses passed away. Adam was 7 years old, and close friends said that they wanted Adam to start picking their show puppies for them!

Buster has always been a golden boy (for a black dog!) finishing his Championship at 11 months in just a couple of weekends. Buster fathered his first litter when he was 7 years old, this litter contained our lovely CH Wild Wind's Just One Look, CH Wild Wind's Blu Light Special OFA and Sherry Du Prea's first show dog CH Wild Wind's Tangled Up In Blue. We repeated the breeding and have kept 4 puppies to show, one going to Diane Waganer in Texas. Buster finished his CD 1 1/2 years ago at the CCC specialty in November, he took BOS to BOV and HIT in obedience to finish his CD.

CH Wild Wind's Lightning Strikes CD CGC TDI "Tyler"

Tyler is our beloved dream dog. He is making history as one of the top winning white collies in the history of the breed. Tyler finished easily in tough Colorado competition. He is a multiple BOV and group placing, and group winning dog winning under both breeder and all rounder judges in many different parts of the country! Some of my most memorable wins with Tyler have been under some of my most respected judges, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Davis, breeder Judie Park, breeder Ted Kjellstrom and breeder Doris Werderman who, even in the group ring kept telling me all of the things she loved about my precious boy before giving him a nice placement in a TOUGH group! Then there were the all breed shows in Farmington UT, with Dorothy Welsh giving him a group 4 the first day, then the second day our judge was Victor Boutwell-he pointed at Tyler with me handling for a GROUP 1!! What a thrill ride life has been with our silly boy who so adores the show ring. I have mainly shown Tyler myself, but he has been shown by our friend, handler Jeni West. Tyler is "semi-retired" this year from the breed ring. He has and will be shown only at certain shows, except he remains the canine partner in the top Jr. Handler team with our daughter, Laura Bergstraser. He has attained his PT herding title this year and will hopefully be going for his HS on sheep soon. Tyler will be old enough to show in the veterans class next year, so then he may well return for a veterans career! Tyler has done so much, we are very proud of him.
