Unnecessarily Offensive Theatre present Acts of Depravity, a satirical review of cinematic and theatrical works from Chekhov to Hollywood and everything in between, laced with several character sketches.
The ideas for the show started at after-show parties following performances of Shakespeare. Letting your hair down after a few hours of the Bard is an absolute necessity, and a serious quantity of alcohol often adds genius to the creative flow...
May 13th saw our first preview, and despite the unrestrained language and topics most of the audience commented on the intelligence and thought-provoking nature of the humour - and that was before they hit the bar.
After a few drinks, they laughed themselves into a stupor as they reflected upon the evening, and in the morning they had totally forgotten every moment of our genius and wanted to experience it all over again.
Alas, we had to tell them our next performance was at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe festival. They have all promised to come, so book early to avoid disappointment.
