[Friday 07APR06 - 0600]: Ok, so this is officially my first ever BLOG that I update to my new piece of the World Wide Web... And today, I've chosen to dedicate this first ever blog, to the thrill, the joy, the anticipation, and the sheer excitement of designing, creating, coding, compiling, running, testing, debugging, updating, improving, cursing, deleting, missing, re-instaling, documenting, and all those hundreds of hours that I have spent trying to get more... more, and MORE of the machine that has now become REALLY my best companion...
A couple of days ago, I had just finished reading a book, called Lirael, which was all about Sorcery, magic, swords, knights and dragons... the sort of stuff that I had loved and still do... However, when I put down the bloody book, I had no idea what to start reading next... I looked at my "Un-Read" book shelf, and realised I had some REALLY poor options, and so I went with a cheap "Based-On-A-True-Story" espionage/CIA/FBI/KGB/NSA/CPU/ASA (Another Stupid Abbreviation) novell/book... but then it hit me...
I realsied that night, that this book was really, REALLY not what I wanted to read these days... The next day I went over to a good bookshop on the way home from college and bought three books that seem rather appealing at the moment, and are probably going to be for SOME time... amazingly though, they are completely non-fictious books, with no interesting characters, dialog quotes to remember, nor even minor plot twists... un-surprisingly, two of the books were aboutJava Technology and the last, about the Linux OS
So this, is a shout out to all the developers, testers, hackers, administrators, students, engineers, scientists, programmers, users and other computer-related, software-using, hardware-tweaking geeks out there that are just like me... living, in virtual reality... living...
