Eugenics ("The production of fine offspring by the improvement of inherited qualities") was termed by a man name Francis Galton. He used this later on in the 19th century to call for society to maintain racial purity. He wanted to sterlize the disabled or the weak and poor so that they could not create offspring. Another pioneer of this mindset was Thomas Robert Malthus, born in 1766. He came up with the theory 'survival of the fittest' and it was eventualy passed onto Darwin. He was obsessed with keeping the 'lower races' such as the poor to a minimum so he suggested that "the streets should be made narrower and more people crowded into houses, to encourage the return of the plague. Villages should be built next to stagnant pools and, above all, remedies for preventing and curing disease ought to be strongly condemned."

By the late 19th century the Eugenics policies ordered mentally ill and disabled people in the US to get sterilized. And by 1942 the American psychiatrist Foster Kennedy called for the killing of retarded children. In the span of 2 years alone more than 42,000 people were sterilized in America. Later on in the years the term Eugenics and race purification was hidden behind names such as euthanasia and population control to avoid questioning. For years in America children were given IQ tests and if they did not get a high enough mark they would be sterilised. From there many companies such as The American Eugenics Society and Population Council continued on with intelligence tests and sterilisation, of every race. Its been happening since than and continues to happen today, whether in secret or not (China one child law). It has to stop.
