"For this is what it means to be a king: to be first in every desperate attack and last in every desperate retreat, and when there's hunger in the land (as must be now and then in bad years) to wear finer clothes and laugh louder over a scantier meal than any man in your land."

TPoN is Now Open for Newsletter Contributions
April 27, 2006
The Great Lion needs you! Rather, the Lion Herald does.
The Lion Herald is the official newsletter of The Philippine Order of Narnians (TPON). We need your contributions to make our newsletter fun, creative and interesting. We welcome contributions of all shapes, sizes, colors and races! Be it a dissertation on Middle Eastern influences in Lewis' work, an article on the child actors in the running to play Prince Caspian, or a fun game for kids aged 7-17, it's all welcome. If you can't think of anything that you want to see printed in the newsletter, then maybe you would like to talk about regular Narnian stuff, like the Narnia games, the soundtrack, references in other books, movies and TV series, and the serendipity of hearing someone sing Alanis Morrisette's Wunderkind on the MRT yesterday.
Send your contributions to Francis at king_rilian@yahoo.com.
Deadline of all contributions is on May 24, 2006 (Wednesday).

February 23, 2006

"AAaaaaaa! We were having dinner last Jan 31 at Rathvinden Manor with the Gresham's when the phone rang. Douglas went to the other room then came back saying, WE GOT NOMINATED FOR 3 AWARDS! Did I hear that right?! Was he talking about Oscar Nominations?! Aaaaaaaaa! My husband & I were actually with the Gresham's in their kitchen when they were informed of Narnia nominations! Wahoo! Out of this world!" >>Read More
