Seeking information on the KENNEDY families of

Franklin/Colbert

Counties, Alabama from the 1840's.

On the 1840 census (Franklin Co., AL), there were:

William, b. abt. 1805

John, b. abt. 1755

Eli, b. abt. 1795

On the 1850 census (Franklin Co., AL), there were:

John, b. abt. 1764

Eli, b. abt. 1793 & wife, Elizabeth, b. abt. 1788

Sam, b. abt. 1824 & wife, Ellinor, b. abt. 1824

John, b. abt. 1818 & wife, Margaret, b. abt 1823

Eli, Sam and John all appear on the 1860 (Franklin Co., AL)

census, and Sam and John are still listed on the 1870 and

1880 (Colbert

Co., AL)censuses. (Franklin County split into two counties

-

Franklin and Colbert.)

My ancestor, Sam KENNEDY, had the following children. I'm

not positive of some of the names because the census was so

hard to read.

Houston (sp?), b. abt. 1863

Frney (Sp?), b. abt. 1867
