About The Snake Pit

Welcome to The Snake Pit! Offering cutting edge training in the mixed martial arts as well as training in the individual sports of brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, and boxing for people of all ages.

Members will receive both individual and group instruction tailored to meet their needs. If you are interested in training for self defense, sport, leisure, or fitness you will find it offered at The Snake Pit in a fun and comfortable environment. While classes are high energy, The Snake Pit is compatible for people of all fitness levels.

Stand up (Kick boxing)

The Cobra Club-
The Cobra Club is our premier mixed martial arts program for children and teenagers ages 4 through 17. The program was designed using the Play as the Way methodology and uses both technical instruction and games to improve attributes and skills. Both private and group instruction is included.

Women’s Only Classes-
Women’s Only classes includes Women's Kickboxing and Women's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, these classes are taught by Coach Sarah. No men are allowed in the training area during class. The unfit to the extremely fit will all find a comfortable place to get in shape and improve health & fitness levels.

Personal Training-
Personal Training is offered by Coach Gary. He will set up an individual fitness plan for you combined with your martial arts training. Let Gary help you meet your fitness goals.

MEET THE COACHES:

Coach Gary started training in the martial arts in 1984, at the young age of six. After working his way through the ranks and becoming an instructor in the traditional martial arts he realized, although they are time-honored, traditional martial arts are not effective. In 1997, Gary started training in the mixed martial arts and has since become a well rounded fighter as well as an attentive, patient, and student focused coach.

Coach Sarah started training in the mixed martial arts in 1996, at age fifteen. Having previous experience in the traditional martial arts she found this new experience rejuvenating. Often finding herself as the only female in class it has become one of her goals to introduce more women to the mixed martial arts. She regularly runs martial arts camps and programs at local schools. Combining her love for teaching and the martial arts she makes an excellent coach.
